About Me
Hi, I'm Olek - short for Aleksander if you're outside of Poland. I'm a software engineer with over 9 years of professional experience, plus many more as an amateur developer. I'm based in Poland, where I currently work as a graphics driver software engineer by day. By night, I'm a passionate Apple platforms developer, constantly exploring new ways to create and innovate.
My journey into software development began in kindergarten when I watched my dad working on a computer at home. From that moment, I knew I wanted to work with computers. I wrote my first lines of code (just HTML at the time) in 4th grade, and I've been programming ever since. To formalize my passion, I earned a Master of Engineering degree from Gdańsk University of Technology in 2017.
Professionally, my expertise lies in C and C++, and I have a solid background in CMake. I'm also experienced with CI systems like Jenkins and GitHub Actions. Throughout my career, I've dabbled in various languages and technologies, from Python and JavaScript to C# and even more niche languages like SmallTalk, Ada, and Prolog.
Recently, I've been captivated by Apple platforms and the Swift language. This fascination led me to create this blog, where I aim to share my journey as I work towards becoming a skilled Apple platforms software engineer—or wherever this path might lead me.
